  • CIDE Presents its 15th Anniversary Nutcracker

CARMEL, IN – OCTOBER 31, 2014 - The Central Indiana Dance Ensemble (CIDE), a pre-professional dance ensemble and resident company of The Center for the Performing Arts, is excited to present its upcoming performance of The Nutcracker. This is CIDE’s first full-length ballet of its 2014-2015 fifteenth anniversary season.

As CIDE celebrates its 15th anniversary, Suzann DeLay, CIDE’s Artistic Director says, this year’s performance will include some new choreography, returning guest artist Jakob Pringle from Ballet West, and vocal performances by local youth.

“The Nutcracker is a holiday classic and this year we are looking forward to incorporating some new choreography and again welcoming guest performers from the Indianapolis Children’s Choir,” said DeLay. “The LIVE vocals arrangements really make our performance of the holiday classic unique. It is reminiscent of the days when orchestras used to perform at the ballet; it brings a magical element to the already beautiful ballet.”

Another unique touch CIDE offers with each matinee performance is the Sugar Plum Fairy Dessert Party prior to each Nutcracker matinee performance at 12:30pm. CIDE takes center stage at the Zionsville Center for Performing Arts.

    Performance Dates & Times:
    Friday, December 12 at 7:30pm
    Saturday, December 13 at 2pm and 7:30pm
    Sunday, December 14 at 2pm

Tickets are $25 per adult and $18 per child (up to age 18). Sugar Plum Fairy Dessert Party tickets are an additional $10. More information and tickets are available at Click here to buy tickets! or by calling 317-844-7453.
