A Letter from the Artistic Director
Dear Friends,
The Central Indiana Dance Ensemble is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the 2008 Regional Dance America Festival for the Mid-States region. We will be hosting young dancers from throughout the Midwest right here in Indianapolis from May 8th through May 10th.
Indianapolis is known as a wonderful host city, full of Midwest hospitality, and we are looking forward to showing off our city's best face. We hope to capitalize on Indianapolis's burgeoning reputation as a center of excellence for the arts.
To bring our dreams of a festival into reality, we are appealing to our corporate neighbors for support. This festival presents a unique opportunity for businesses like yours to show support for the arts and to support the young dancers that toil daily to bring art to life. The dancers that attend our festival will be exposed to world class dance instruction and will also be presented with scholarship opportunities. This festival also brings many opportunities for the citizens of Indianapolis and surrounding areas to attend amazing performances by these talented dancers.
As a young dancer, I attended the first Pacific Regional Festival hosted by Deane and Barbara Crockett with the Sacramento Civic Ballet. I know first-hand the value that attending such a festival can have for a young dancer.
