Central Indiana Dance Ensemble is committed to working with other community organizations to promote the arts in Indiana.

CIDE is very involved in outreach programs with various children’s organizations such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Riley Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.

Annually, CIDE presents a complimentary performance of the Nutcracker to over a 1000 Indianapolis area students. This full-length production of The Nutcracker requires hundreds of hours donated by the cast and crew. This serves for many as their first introduction to ballet as a performance art. We feel that it is important and vital to give back to the community especially to a population that would likely not have the opportunity to view a live performance of this caliber on stage.

CIDE also supports other area organizations by donating their performances, ticket donations, dance workshops and lecture/demonstrations. Previous recipients include: City of Carmel, Indianapolis Public Schools, Girl Scouts, Center for Performing Arts in Carmel, Parkinson’s Society, CASA, Tri-Kappa, WFYI, Riley Children’s Hospital, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Zionsville Community Schools.
