Alecia Good-Boresow, former Studio Company Manager with Ballet Arizona, is now a freelancedance educator sharing her knowledge and passion with aspiring young dancers across the country. Ms. Good-Boresow began her ballet training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) at the age of five under the direction of founding Artistic Director, Marcia Dale Weary. She went on to study many summers at the School of American Ballet (the official school of the New York City Ballet), the Joffrey Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet (now Philadelphia Ballet).

Good-Boresow danced professionally with the Kansas City Ballet under the directorship of renowned ballet dancer, teacher and choreographer Todd Bolender from 1983-1996. While with the company she danced many principal roles, including “Sugar Plum Fairy”, “, “Dew Drop” and “Mirlitons” in The Nutcracker, “Aurora” and “Bluebird” in George Balanchine’s Aurora’s Wedding, “Sanguinic” in Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments and “Swanilda” in Coppelia. In addition, Good-Boresow also danced principal roles in Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco, Apollo, Allegro Brilliante, The Firebird, Raymonda Variations, and Western Symphony.

From 1985 until 1996, Good-Boresow also served as a rehearsal assistant for the Kanssas City Ballet. After retiring from the professional stage, she founded and directed the Kansas City Youth Ballet (KCYB), formerly known as the MidWest Youth Ballet in 1997. She held that post for more than 10 years. During that time, Good-Boresow took the KCYB to perform in the Young Tanzsommer Festival in Austria and Germany in 2005 and 2008 and was part of Mid-States Regional Dance America (RDA).

As an educator, Good-Boresow has taught ballet for over 42 years, eleven of those years as a full time faculty member at CPYB. In 2014, Ms. Good-Boresow was appointed School Principal at CPYB. Prior to her faculty position at CPYB, Good-Boreow was on faculty at the Kansas City Ballet School and Miller Marley School of Dance in Overland Park, Kansas. She has been a guest teacher at Littleton Ballet Academy in Littleton, Colorado, Port Angeles Ballet in Washington, Ballet Nova in Falls Church, Virginia, Ballet Arizona, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, Shari Shell-True Dance Academy in Lincoln, Nebraska, Greater York Dance in York, Pennsylvania and Dance St. Louis Summer Intensive. Good-Boresow has also been a guest faculty member at the 2019 Mid-States Regional Dance Festival in Indianapolis and the Ballet Alliance Festival in Spokane, Washington in 2025.

Born in Redmond, Washington, Mark-David Bloodgood trained on scholarship for twelve years at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School under the direction of Francia Russell and Peter Boal. Mr. Bloodgood is currently a member of Ballet Project OC, but has previously performed with Huntsville Ballet, South Carolina Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet II, BalletMet II, ARC Dance, Saint Louis Ballet, Indianapolis Ballet and as a guest artist with the Columbus Opera and the Seattle Opera. 

Mr. Bloodgood has had the privilege to perform principal roles throughout his career, including Siegfried in "Swan Lake," Count Albrecht in "Giselle," Romeo in "Romeo & Juliet," Prince Charming in "Cinderella," as well as principal roles in works by George Balanchine, Peter Martins, Christopher Wheeldon, Twyla Tharp, Gerald Arpino, Septime Webre and many others.

PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE • THURSDAY, JUNE 18THMARIAN UNIVERSITY, TIME TBA

Students may attend Session 1, Session 2 or both sessions. A Parent Showcase will be held at the end of Session 2.

To be a part of the showcase you must attend Session 2 of the Intensive. Please indicate on the application form your child’s current dance school, level and the number of years studied. CIDE’s SBI faculty will divide students into levels according to age and ability as it relates to our intensive. Understand that each dance school would have a different title and standard for each level. The faculty will establish where your child belongs on the first day of the intensive.

Registrations received after May 8, 2026 will be accepted at the discretion of the Artistic Directors, Ashley Jacobs & Michael Casey Clark (a $25 late fee will be applied for those registering after May 10th)
